First off, not only did OU have a new play caller and offensive coordinator, there was an in-game report that revealed Arnold and <a href="https://247sports.com/coach/joe-jon-finley-3741/">Joe Jon Finley</a> met on Tuesday and went over the adjustments they were going to make the the playbook. That's just a few days to begin changes along with another showing from a bad offensive line and not too many dynamic presences at pass catcher. On the road against a top-20 team, and just a week removed from retaking the starting signal caller role, Arnold's performance should be appreciated.Running backs: C+Hopefully the effort <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/jovantae-barnes-46094222/">Jovantae Barnes</a> continues to put in is being recognized. This weekend, he rushed 16 times for a game-high 67 yards and caught five passes for 57 yards. His five receptions tied a career high and his 57 receiving yards set a career high while also leading the Sooners through the air. Barnes' 124 yards from scrimmage were a career high and a reflection of both the effort and leadership he's displayed during a tough season. Also worth noting he forced a season high missed tackles according to PFF. <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/taylor-tatum-46109368/">Taylor Tatum</a> tied his season high with nine rushes and totaled 42 yards on the ground, his second-highest rushing total of the season. The true freshman did, however, run into fumble issues again.Wide receivers: D-Congratulations goes out to <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/jacob-jordan-46129616/">Jacob Jordan</a>. The true freshman preferred walk-on wide receiver caught his first career touchdown reception. But for the second week in a row, he was the only player to record a 'contested catch' according to PFF. JJ Hester did make a nice hustle play to recover a fumble, but not much else to talk about from this group. Just two receivers recorded a catch in this game, the two previously mentioned.Tight ends: D<a href="https://247sports.com/Player/bauer-sharp-46145641/">Bauer Sharp</a> registered a career- and game-high eight receptions for a team-high 53 yards. He notched his second touchdown reception of the season and the sixth of his career on an 11-yard play in the first quarter. He did have the lone drop of the day recorded and was part of some pretty confusing plays that didn't end well. Jake Roberts recorded one catch for eight yards.Offensive line: FBack-to-back weeks where Oklahoma allowed nine sacks, a program record. According to PFF, none of those sacks came on a blitz call. Arnold was frequently under pressure despite Ole Miss rarely dialing up aggressive packages. There was a good amount of push in the run game during the first half, so credit is due from that, but another game where things went awry along the line of scrimmage.Defensive line: BYes, just one sack. But this was a dominant performance against the run while facing a team that's typically extremely successful on that front. Ole Miss entered the game averaging more than 200 yards rushing per game yet finished with just 69 on the ground.Linebackers: B-Another quality outing from <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/danny-stutsman-46082030/">Danny Stutsman</a> in run support but some struggles in coverage, looking lost at times. <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/kip-lewis-46094260/">Kip Lewis</a> also produced at a high level and showed his typical energy. <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/dasan-mccullough-46059433/">Dasan McCullough</a> played pretty well.Cornerbacks: DBoth <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/kani-walker-46085415/">Kani Walker</a> and <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/dez-malone-46080639/">Dez Malone</a> had their struggles. <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/eli-bowen-46117843/">Eli Bowen</a> did help out a bit from a performance standpoint, though. In general, the corners certainly contributed to the explosive play issue.Safeties: CAnother game where <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/billy-bowman-46048695/">Billy Bowman</a> finishes towards the top of the stat-sheet but had some lesser moments on-field. <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/robert-spears-jennings-46113154/">Robert Spears-Jennings</a> had an okay day.
