A few spare thoughts ahead of Nebraska's appearance at Big Ten Media Days
It's the eve before Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule hits the podium at Big Ten Media Days in what always feels like the unofficial kickoff to football season. Nebraska's head coach will be joined by three veterans who all chose to come back to Nebraska for another year instead of seeking professional opportunities or soliciting the highest bidder on the transfer portal. Safety Isaac Gifford, defensive lineman Ty Robinson and offensive lineman Ben Scott are all good representatives of Nebraska football and they will all get asked why they chose to return to Lincoln.

Not Too Early Big XII Hoops Predictions: No. 9, West Virginia
As expected, West Virginia's first post-Huggins season was very rough. The Mountaineers won only nine games overall and four in the Big XII. They've obviously got a very long way to go before they can challenge in the Big XII. However, the 2024 squad is gone. Literally. Only two players from that team return and neither of them figure to be in the rotation this season. And this is one case in which roster discontinuity is probably a very good thing.
The Snub still sticks with some FSU players, but moving on is the objective in 2024
There are still times when it gets to Patrick Payton. 'It' being The Snub. No further explanation needed.
