Attend an Adults-Only Sign Language Class

    2024-07-11

I've always wanted to take a sign language class. I've heard there's a lot of interesting nuances to it, with no direct and literal translation from a sentence in english to ASL. It's its own thing, and the speed at which complex ideas can be communicated is awe inspiring.

If you're interested in diving into ASL, but also have a bit of a naughty side, do I have the class for you. There's a Dirty Sign Language class coming to North Georgia in August. Yes, you heard me correctly, and I think this whole idea is kick ass.

Fainting Goat Vineyards in Jasper, Georgia is offering a Dirty Sign Language class on Saturday, August 3rd from 6pm to 8pm. The class costs $40 and each ticket includes a glass of wine. It's presented by the vineyard's resident sign language instructor and certified ASL teacher, Angela Ashworth. Portions of the proceeds go towards a hearing impaired-related charity.

Why would you want to learn to dirty sign? Let me count the ways.

From the event organizers, "Curse without your co-workers know what you're saying! Let your frustration out without your kids hearing your potty mouth. Keep it spicy in the bedroom with some naughty sign language. Enhance your relationship with flirty sign language."

Tickets available here. Additional beer and wine are available for purchase at the event.

And don't forget to check out some other cool things to do in the mountains while you're there.
