    Get Ready for a Sssssspectacular Reptile Day at Fernbank Museum

    Ready to come face-to-face with a variety of scaly, slimy, spiny and sssssspectacular animals?! Of course you are!

    Fernbank Museum's Reptile Day will make that dream a reality.

    Reptile Day will be held at Fernbank Museum on Saturday, July 20 from 10am - 1pm. Reptile Day is included with your General Admission Ticket and Members are FREE.

    Reptile Day is always a hit, and this year will be no different. During Reptile Day, Fernbank and their partner organizations teach guests about the wonderful and wild world of reptiles, amphibians and more!

    Here's what you can expect during Reptile Day at Fernbank Museum...

    Georgia Reptile Society
    Great Hall, 1st Level
    Meet a wide variety of scaly and fascinating friends and learn more about them from the members of the Georgia Reptile Society.

    AWARE Wildlife Center
    Great Hall, 1st Level
    Get to know some interesting critters from AWARE Wildlife Center.

    Atlanta Botanical Gardens
    Great Hall, 1st Level
    Say hello to some interesting and unique amphibians while learning more about our slimy friends.

    Atlanta Reptile Jungle
    Great Hall, 1st Level
    Get up close and personal with a python or two and learn about these remarkable animals.

    Amphibian Foundation
    Great Hall, 1st Level
    Come learn about a variety of our scaly, slimy, friends with the Amphibian Foundation.

    Fernbank Animal Ambassadors
    Great Hall, 1st Level
    Spend some time with Fernbank’s resident animal ambassadors!

    Reptile Biofacts
    Walk Through Time in Georgia Desk, 2nd Level
    Discover the unique adaptations and features of reptiles that help our scaly friends stand out.

    Reptile Crafts
    STEAM Lab, 3rd Level
    Make your very own snake pal or make a colorful sea turtle to brighten up your windows!

    Gopher Games: A Documentary and Q&A
    10:30, 11:30 and 12:30
    Frances Wood Wilson Foundation Theater, 1st Level
    Learn about Georgia’s state reptile the Gopher Tortoise and the challenges this species is currently facing in Florida. After each showing, Brent Fannin, the director of the film, will be hosting a Q&A.

    And of course, in addition to all the special activities on hand to celebrate the wonderful world of reptiles, you'll also have the opportunity to explore the Museum itself, including WildWoods and Fernbank Forest, all of their amazing permanent exhibits, and the current Numbers In Nature: A Mirror Maze exhibition.
