All Aboard for Railroad Rendezvous at The Southern Museum

All Aboard! The popular Railroad Rendezvous event is returning to the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History in Kennesaw, and you're not going to want to miss it!

The Railroad Rendezvous event is pulling into The Southern Museum in Kennesaw on Saturday, July 20 from 9:30am - 5pm. For train lovers, this is a can't-miss event that includes an opportunity to step aboard a historic steam locomotive.

During Railroad Rendezvous, a variety of activities celebrating railroads and transportation will take place throughout the day. Some of the events you'll see include...

• An antique car display
• Blacksmith demonstrations
• Ham radio and telegraph demos
• Remote-controlled airplane simulator
• Interactive model train display

There will also be a Children's Area highlighting railroad jobs with interactive typewriter displays.

The highlight of Railroad Rendezvous has to be the rare opportunity to step aboard The General locomotive during the Board the General Experience. This is the one time each year visitors can board The General! The General became famous for the Civil War's Great Locomotive Chase of 1862. During the event, you'll be able to tour the cab of this historic steam locomotive!

The Board The General Experience is $5/person. Children 2 and under are FREE. Proceeds from this experience will benefit the Kennesaw Museum Foundation.

All of the other activities during Railroad Rendezvous are included with your Regular Admission price to the Museum. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for children. Children 2 and under are FREE. You can purchase your tickets HERE or at the door.
