Westside Stride – A Street-Closing, Intown Atlanta Event

    2024-08-09

Have you heard of Westside Stride? It's a chance to experience the Westside on Howell Mill Road like you never have before.

This unique, 1+ mile-long block party is designed to highlight local businesses along the route for pedestrians and bikers of all kinds. Some of our favorite locations are along the route, like West Egg Cafe, but there's also a section with pop-up artisans and vendors.

Westside Stride is an annual event that welcomes attendees to enjoy a car-free afternoon along Howell Mill Road and a stretch of 17th Street west of Northside Drive. With the streets opened up to the community, dozens of booths will be set up for vendors, giving attendees the chance to discover the many shops, restaurants and amenities the area has to offer.

Special pop-up activities like a Marker’s Market twice as big as last year’s with around 100 vendors, multiple stages with live music, a pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, inflatables and more add plenty of excitement for visitors of all ages, including the four-legged kind.

Westside Stride is on Sunday, October 6th from noon to 6pm on Howell Mill Road between 8th Street and Trabert Ave/17th St
