Go Stomp Some Grapes at Crush Fest

Have you ever wanted to jump in a vat of grapes with bare feet "I Love Lucy" style? Who hasn't?

The way I see it there are two very famous grape crushing scenes in history. The first of course, is Lucy. And the second is this poor lady at Georgia's own Chateau Elan. Don't be her.

If you want to get those wine grapes all up in between your toes here's your chance in a safe and controlled environment. Just look at all of those staff members in this photo! Safety first! :)

Yonah Mountain Vineyards in Cleveland, Georgia presents Crush Fest, a one-day-only, limited attendance event on Saturday, August 24th from noon to 6pm.

Here's a rundown on what can be expected at Crush Fest.

    • Live music all day long
    • A wide variety of food trucks
    • Artisan market
    • Award-winning wines from Yonah Mountain Vineyards
    • Local craft beer
    • A chance for attendees to participate in the festival's signature event—a traditional barefoot grape stomping accompanied by live accordion and guitar music from winery owners Bob and Jane Miller

They are limiting ticket sales to only 1,500 people so you can really get a good chance to purple those piggies.

Tickets are $40 a piece for general admission which includes two glasses of wine or beer and a souvenir glass. But there is another $20 ticket option for non-drinkers, and kids 14 and under are free, but still require a ticket.
