Say “Yellow” to a New Exhibit at Fernbank Museum

Fernbank Museum in Atlanta has a golden opportunity for all you art lovers out there! A new exhibit is coming to the museum, and it's all about the color yellow!

Have you ever wondered how pigments and dyes are made from plants? Find out when Golden Opportunity: Botanical Illustration opens at Fernbank Museum on Aug. 31! Discover how illustrations, plant materials, pigments and more reveal the science behind the color yellow in this artistic exploration.

Golden Opportunity: Botanical Illustration features pieces of art created by members of Denver Botanic Gardens’ School of Botanical Art & Illustration, as well as display cases highlighting dried plant materials used in creating yellow dye, from plants to pigment to colored textiles.

Golden Opportunity: Botanical Illustration will be opening August 31 and will run through January 1, 2025 in the Naturalist Center on the third floor.
