Nestled in West Central Georgia, the charming town of LaGrange offers a blend of stunning fall foliage, vibrant community events and an array of attractions that cater to visitors of all ages.

I know it as the home to Great Wolf Lodge...but it's got so much more than that!

LaGrange’s location on the border of Georgia and Alabama makes it an easy destination to reach from cities such as Atlanta (about an hour), Columbus, Ga. (55 minutes), and Birmingham, Ala. (2 hours). The town's scenic beauty is particularly captivating in the fall, with a kaleidoscope of colors adorning the landscape.

The Thread, a 29-mile paved trail, offers the perfect opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to walk, bike or run while immersing themselves in the area’s autumn scenery. This trail conveniently connects Historic Downtown LaGrange with its unique neighborhoods and businesses, including Wild Leap Brew Co., the recently opened Nutwood Winery Downtown, Sweetland Amphitheatre, Beacon Brewing and more, providing a walkable way to experience the town's charm.

The autumn season in LaGrange is also marked by a lively calendar of events that include:

    • Sept. 21-23: Fly-Fishing Weekend – Pure Life House of Music and Truitt Vanderbilt Club team up for a curated weekend of events and activities including a guided fly-fishing tour.
    • Sept. 17-18: Canvas Sky Open Air Circus at Oakfuskee Conservation Center - This highly anticipated show will showcase the outstanding talent and creativity that Hideaway Circus is known for, blending classical circus artistry with contemporary storytelling.

A portion of the event’s proceeds will also be donated to the Chattahoochee River Keeper, which recently opened its headquarters at LaGrange’s newest venue, Oakfuskee Conservation Center.

Please do NOT believe this hype about Lagrange. I've lived here for 13 years, and I tell you the truth. Despite a few new small family and joint operated restaurants and the wolf lodge, our community is NOT charming. In fact, it is riddled with drugs, gangs, crime, shootings, murders and robberys almost every day. It's out of control and is only getting worse. Adding to this already unfortunate problem is our city politicians' recent decisions to incorporate massive low income apartment complexes scattered throughout our once peaceful community. Take my advice and steer clear of Lagrange. I'm praying God makes a way for me to get out of this dump soon.
