Pink Floyd laser shows are not new, but I, for one try to check them out whenever they're around.

Usually shown on movie screens or in large amphitheaters, listening to Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall with the magic of lasers and lights has become somewhat of a cult pastime, with or without Dorothy. Here's a chance to experience the Floyd a little differently - at a planetarium.

The Georgia Southern University Planetarium is putting on the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon Rock Show on September 12th and 13th in Statesboro. There are two shows each evening at 6 and 7pm, and tickets are practically pocket change.

Georgia Southern describes the event as follows.

"Experience the timeless magic of Pink Floyd’s legendary album, fully optimized for the Museum’s cutting-edge high-definition, full-dome video system. Prepare to be transported to a new dimension of audiovisual delight, where the fusion of fantastic sound and incredible imagery creates an unforgettable journey. This is no ordinary laser show; it is a revolutionary digital transformation that envelops you, immerses you, and ultimately, loses you in the mesmerizing depths of the Dark Side of the Moon. Witness this extraordinary video experience, brought to you by the innovative expertise of Starlight Productions."

Other shows on the planetarium schedule include "Experience the Aurora" and "Let It Snow" coming later this Fall.
