NWA Council taking applications from local businesses for free glass recycling program
SPRINGDALE, Ark. — The Northwest Arkansas Council is offering a new program that will allow 50 businesses to recycle glass for free. This new initiative aims to increase the number of restaurants, bars, and liquor stores recycling glass in the area. NWA Council is partnering with Epic Glass Recycling of Little Rock to execute the NWA Recycles program.
Population growth in Arkansas has police departments looking to expand
ARKANSAS, USA — As Northwest Arkansas continues to grow, local police stations in the area are planning to expand to meet the demands of a growing population. In June, the Prairie Grove City Council unanimously voted on a $1.4 million expansion of their existing police station. Capt. Jeff O’Brien of the Prairie Grove Police Department said as the city has grown, so has the need for more space.
