(670 The Score) The Bulls continued their roster overhaul over the weekend as star forward DeMar DeRozan left Chicago for the Sacramento Kings in a sign-and-trade transaction. DeRozan agreed to a three-year, $74-million deal to join the Kings, according to reports.

DeRozan played in Chicago for three seasons, the first two in which he earned All-Star honors. With his efficient offensive production, reliability and late-game heroics, DeRozan was the primary reason the Bulls were competitive, but Chicago managed just one postseason appearance and a single playoff win in his three-year tenure here.

So how will DeRozan be remembered? What’s his legacy in Chicago as he has left the Bulls?

“Bulls fans will miss just the consistency with which he played,” Score morning host David Haugh said on his show Monday. “I think Bulls fans will miss the class he exuded on and off the court. He was the greatest teammate you could imagine.

“DeMar DeRozan was a leader, he was one of the guys. He was the King of the Fourth, all of the things you wanted in a clutch player.”

Haugh agreed that it was time for DeRozan to head elsewhere as the Bulls have pivoted toward a youth movement.

“He had to go,” Haugh said.
