LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) As they've started training camp at Halas Hall, the Bears are working with a mostly clean bill of health.

The Bears held their first practice Saturday morning with just three players absent. Rookie receiver Rome Odunze wasn't present with the team due to a personal matter. Veteran tight end Gerald Everett (undisclosed) and rookie offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie (quad) were each placed on the non-football injury list after reporting last week.

Odunze is expected to rejoin the Bears on Sunday for their second practice of training camp. He was present with the team Friday and addressed reporters.

Starting left tackle Braxton Jones and linebacker T.J. Edwards were limited in practice Saturday. Neither injury has been disclosed by the team, which is the preseason policy under head coach Matt Eberflus.

The Bears’ first practice was held for 90 minutes on the back fields at Halas Hall, with the work closed to the public. The team will conduct practices the next three days before an off day Wednesday.

The Bears will strap on their full pads late next week for the first time in training camp. Sunday will mark seven weeks until kickoff on the regular season on Sept. 8 at Soldier Field, where the Bears will host the Titans.
