Velojawn and Tricycle Cafe offer city biking needs and an on-trail snack stop

Traumatic brain injury survivor dances down road to recovery
Natanya Sortland's life changed when she had a stroke and then a traumatic brain injury. It's hard for her to remember what life was like before the age of 40.The Mind Your Brain Foundation helped her find a way to recover through one of their various conferences held throughout the year. And now, Sortland has become an advocate so others can follow in her footsteps.Sortland recently revisited Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital with Action News. Columbus Blvd. lane closures to begin near Penn's Landing in Philadelphia due to I-95 CAP Project
Drivers who travel near Penn's Landing in Philadelphia should expect to encounter new lane closures along Columbus Boulevard for the next year.Starting Monday, traffic will be reduced to two lanes on the southbound side between Race and Market streets.The roadway will also be reduced to one lane between Market and Walnut streets.PennDOT said crews need to move a sewer line along the center lane of Columbus Blvd. and build foundations for support of the new covered area to cap I-95.RELATED: New renderings, timeline released for Park at Penn's LandingNew renderings, timeline released for Park at Penn's LandingThis is part of a $329 million project to build a 12-acre park from Old City to the Delaware River waterfront.The closures are expected to last into the middle of 2025. Man accused of confronting, stealing from Pro-Palestinian protester in Montgomery County
A man was taken into custody on Friday for allegedly harassing and stealing from a Pro-Palestinian protester in Montgomery County earlier this month.The incident happened on July 3 just before noon in Upper Merion Township, Pennsylvania.Officers say a 56-year-old woman was protesting on the sidewalk of Route 202 and Henderson Road.That's when the suspect, identified by police as Ilya Zaslavskiy, allegedly stopped his car, got out, and confronted the protester while stealing her signs.Zaslavskiy fled the scene, authorities say.Police obtained an arrest warrant for Zaslavskiy on July 5, charging him with theft by unlawful taking, harassment, ethnic intimidation, and more.Investigators...

A man has died after being shot in the head in North Philadelphia.Officers found the man shot on the 3500 block of North Warnock Street just after 11 p.m. Saturday.He was rushed to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.Officials say a second victim showed up to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.He is listed in stable condition.No weapon was recovered and no arrest has been made.The Shooting Investigation Group is leading the investigation.

Three men are in custody after a police pursuit from Northeast Philadelphia to East Falls ended in a crash along Kelly Drive.Philadelphia Police say officers were trying to break up a car-meet at Frankford and Harbison, and started following a Grey Dodge Charger from the scene.The miles-long pursuit ended when the car crashed into a wall and a tree.The driver jumped into the river, but was pulled out and taken into custody.Another man was arrested trying to run away, and a third was taken from the car.
