Boy, 14, dead after apparent accidental shooting in Darby, Pa., police say
Police say it appears a 14-year-old boy accidentally shot himself late Tuesday night in Darby, Delaware County.Authorities said Wednesday morning that the teen had died.Darby borough's police chief said investigators' belief the shooting was accidental is based on preliminary information.An investigation into the circumstances of this shooting continues.The teen's name has not been released.Officers responded to the 400 block of Darby Terrace around 10:15 p.m.A number of police officers and medics could be seen from Chopper 6.The Action Cam was there as investigators took photos of the scene.
Man shot by brother during apparent dispute in Kensington
Philadelphia police say a man was shot by his brother during an apparent dispute on Tuesday night.It happened around 8:27 p.m. on the 600 block of East Cornwall Street in the city's Kensington neighborhood.Police say the 28-year-old victim was shot five times. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he's listed in critical condition.The 24-year-old brother stayed at the scene and was taken into custody police said.Further details on the dispute were not immediately released by police.Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS.
Police in Delaware County search for owner of lost ball python
Police in Radnor, Delaware County, are on the lookout for the owner of a lost snake."A real snake in the grass," Radnor police wrote in a post on Facebook.According to the post, officers discovered a three to four-foot-long ball python in the area of Strathmore and Conestoga roads on Tuesday."We're excited to see bunnies in the backyard. Authorities released new surveillance footage and further details on an armed robbery of a jewelry shop in Chinatown last month.Though a suspect was arrested, authorities say they're still searching for the missing jewelry.Investigators say 53-year-old Phu Chim got away with $120,000 worth of jewelry during the theft."This is a fine example of good, investigative teamwork with patrol and my investigators," said Captain Jason Smith with Philadelphia police.
