    What’s the tea on boba?

If you haven’t heard of it, it can also be referred to as bubble tea or milk tea. No matter what you call it, it’s been popping up around Charleston over the last few years.

We think it’s tea-licious, so come oolong as we list seven bubble tea spots around the Holy City.

Poke Tea House , 441 Meeting St., Ste. E

This eatery serves up a Freshen Up It Tea which has a green tea base and guests can add boba.

Riso Noodle House , 1890 Sam Rittenberg Blvd.

This West Ashley favorite has various boba teas to choose from. We can’t decide which one we want to try first... maybe the Mighty Mango or the Passion Fruit Bubble tea.

Ha Long Café , 281 Meeting St.

This downtown restaurant serves Vietnamese cuisine along with lots of tea options. We’ll take the Monster Boba Tea.

Maccaro Charleston , 427 King St.

Here’s another option for tea, this spot has flavors like strawberry, matcha, and caramel milk tea.

King Acai and Bubble Tea , Multiple locations
