Third annual Bike Walk Kentucky Summit returns to Transylvania University this weekend

Calling all cycling + walking enthusiasts. This week there’s a wheel-y fun opportunity for you. The third annual Bike Walk Kentucky Summit is returning to Transylvania University Thursday, Aug. 15 + Friday, Aug. 16.

The event will host workshops, breakout sessions, “beerstorming,” and social rides aimed at educating attendees and connecting leaders + advocates for a safer and accessible pedestrian system.

The breakout sessions will cover a variety of topics including:

• Cultivating a bike-friendly culture
• Trails of Inclusion: Adaptive Mountain Biking
• Lexington History Walking Tour

The keynote presentations will feature national advocates like Bill Nesper with the League of American Bicyclists, as well as local musician + bike enthusiast Ben Sollee.

Tickets are $50 for students and $100 for general admission and comes with access to both days, snacks, coffee, and lunch. See the full agenda .
