The World Food Championships kick off in one month

Foodies, rejoice.

The World Food Championships are coming to the Indiana State Fairgrounds Friday, Nov. 8-Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Attendees will get to watch 30 teams from around the world battle it out for culinary glory in 12 categories, including everything from bacon to rice to vegetarian food. The 12 champions will go on to compete at The Final Table, an invitation-only event taking place in the spring, for their chance to take home the World Food Championship Crown and a grand prize of $150,000.

At this year’s event, you can expect:

• Tasting samples from 30+ vendors
• Live cooking demos by celebrity chefs
• Food-related games like “Cake or Fake”
• A barbecue zone
• A kids zone

Just like you wouldn’t let a meal hot off the grill get cold, you won’t want to wait to buy tickets . They’re buy one get one free through Monday, Oct. 14. Pro tip: To save even more Monday, show up before 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday for free admission.
