What makes a place special? The "it" factor that sets it apart from all others and makes it a spot that you would want to settle down and make a home for yourself. Entertainment venues, a wide array of restaurants, affordable prices, job opportunities — whatever "it" may be depends on each person, but one county in Ohio was named as the best place to live in the entire state .

According to a list compiled by 24/7 Wall St. , the "best county" to live in in Ohio is Delaware County, which has a median household income of $116,284 (compared to the $61,938 state average) and a life expectancy of 82.1 years. Additionally, the poverty rate for this area is 4.6%, far below the state average of 13.9%.

Here's what the site had to say about the best county in Ohio to call home:

"Well over half the adults in the area have a Bachelor's degree or higher, the largest share of all 88 counties in Ohio. Health outcomes and financial security follow suit. In Delaware County, life expectancy at birth is 82.1 years, over five years greater than the state average. Additionally, the local poverty rate is less than half the statewide rate."

BS! I've lived in Delaware County most of my life. those if us that are retired, can't afford to live here any more. I'm not sure why financially secure 30 somethings keep moving here. they drive up housing costs, over populate what was a nice rural community,, increase crime. it's absurd
