Torrential Downpour Causes Problems Across The Tri-State Area

A major storm on Tuesday night has led to flooded roads across the area and canceled flights at the area airports.

Officials in Hackensack, New Jersey said nearly half of the city was flooded and multiple rescues had to be made. In New York City, there were also flooding issues on the Henry Hudson Parkway, Major Deegan Expressway, Cross Island Expressway along with some local roads.

The problems also continued to build at Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark Airports. More than 200 flights were canceled on Wednesday, following a ground stop on Tuesday.

This all comes ahead of Tropical Storm Debby, which could have an impact on the tri-state area by Friday.
