Tropical Storm Debby Expected To Hit NYC On Friday

The New York City will feel the effects of Tropical Storm Debby on Friday, after it made landfall in the U.S. for a second time on Thursday morning.

It came ashore about 20 miles north of Charleston, South Carolina with maximum sustained winds of 50 miles per hour. That follows landfall earlier in the week in Florida's Big Bend. The storm has resulted in at least six deaths and has soaked the entire southeast.

The good news for New Yorkers is that the storm should clear out of the area by Saturday.
