Rep. Gottheimer Announces Bill Of Rights For NJ Transit Commuters

Facing constant delays and cancellations, Congressman Josh Gottheimer is introducing an "All Aboard Act" to help NJ Transit commuters.

The Bill of Rights would guarantee refunds to Amtrak and NJ Transit customers who experience serious delays and cancellations caused by Amtrak's infrastructure. His proposal also calls on Amtrak to make needed repairs, while ensuring that the agency has the funding it needs to make those improvements.

“These delays and cancellations are a headache for commuters, a real obstacle for our transit system, and frankly, a drain on our entire state. I hear from my constituents every day that something has got to give," Gottheimer said.
