Connecticut Declares Itself The 'Pizza Capital" Of The U.S.

Connecticut is upsetting some of its neighbors in the tri-state area, declaring itself the "Pizza Capital of the United States."

That's one of several messages written on new road signs that greet visitors arriving from New York on I-95 and I-84. Other signs in Connecticut declare it's also the "Submarine Capital of the World," the "Foodie Capital of New England" and the "Basketball Capital of the World."

"You're not even the pizza capital of the tri-state area," New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy responded on social media.

Connecticut is known for its New Haven-style pizza. However, New York and New Jersey also claim to have the best pizza in the world.
