    Man barricaded in Las Vegas home after shooting

    Update: At around 4:30 p.m., Las Vegas police said the man was taken into custody without incident.

    LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police said a man was barricaded in a southwest valley residence after a shooting.

    Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 4400 block of South Durango Drive on Aug. 15 at around 11:30 a.m. after reports of a shooting.

    According to police, a man was believed to be barricaded inside a residence in the 4500 block of South Bonita Vista Street and was refusing to exit.

    SWAT and Crisis Negotiators were on scene to assist, police said.

    No injuries were reported at the time of publication. Police asked the public to avoid the area due to heavy police presence.
