LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A large brush fire along the Colorado River between Laughlin and Bullhead City is now under control with the help of The Clark County Fire Department, the Bureau of Land Management, and the National Park Service.

The 63-acre fire started on Monday and created smoke that could be seen for miles but due to favorable winds, it did not threaten structures in the area, according to Clark County.

Fire crews worked to create a perimeter around the fire to contain it and are expected to remain on scene overnight.
