Classic car show benefits Speedway Children’s Charities

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Check out some of the hottest rides in Las Vegas at the South Point Hotel and Casino. The annual South Point Car and Truck Show presented by Star Nursery returns this weekend with more than 250 motors on display.

The free showcase is one of the nonprofit’s biggest fundraising events of the year. Proceeds raised benefit Speedway Children’s Charities which awards grants to local children’s charities to help children in need live more productive lives. They help to provide access to a variety of resources including health and eye care, food, furnishings, and more.

“Everything we do is to help the kids in need, so the more money we raise, the more grant applications we can fill and we can help thousands and thousands of more kiddos in the valley,” said Paulette Anderson, Director of Speedway Children’s Charities.

The event features a variety of cars, pickups, and even semi-tractors. You can find an array of vintage and classic cars and new and renowned sports cars. There will also be raffles and multiple vendors on-site. The South Point Car and Truck Show takes place Saturday, Aug. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is completely free.
