    Crash involving man on scooter closes portion of Las Vegas Strip

    LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A portion of the Las Vegas Strip was closed Thursday night after a man riding a scooter was hit by a vehicle, according to police.

    Just before 9:40 p.m., Metro police responded to the 2700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard near Sahara Avenue after reports of a man riding a scooter who was hit by a vehicle.

    Police said the man was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

    The northbound lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard were closed at Elvis Presley Boulevard near Circus Circus and the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on the north end of the Strip, according to RTC Southern Nevada.

    The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and police said impairment is not suspected.
