LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Two drivers are facing charges after a deadly three-vehicle crash near downtown Las Vegas.

It happened Monday shortly after 1 a.m. at the intersection of Eastern and Searles Avenues near East Washington Avenue.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, a Chevrolet Tahoe driver was driving west on Searles Avenue and turned south on Eastern Avenue when it was hit by a Ram 2500 and GMC Sierra driving at a high rate of speed south on Eastern Avenue.

Initially, the driver of the Ram hit the front passenger side of the Chevrolet causing the Ram to overturn and hit a power utility pole. The front of the GMC then hit the back of the Chevrolet, police stated.

The drivers of the Chevrolet and Ram were taken to the hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet identified as Fabian Villa, 33, was later pronounced dead, police said.

The GMC driver remained on the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said. According to LVMPD, the drivers of the GMC and RAM face charges of reckless driving resulting in death.

The crash remains under investigation by Las Vegas Metro police.
