F1 adds Ferrari Challenge to Nov. 21-23 events on Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — The F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix is adding more racing action in 2024, introducing a support race to the Nov. 21-23 calendar: the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli.

The Ferrari Challenge — described by organizers as “the world’s most renowned single-marque championship, bringing dream cars and drivers together on the world’s most picturesque tracks since 1993” — will run on the same days as the Formula One event, with racing arranged around F1’s schedule. Each race is expected to last about 35 minutes. The schedule announced on Wednesday:

• Thursday, Nov. 21
  • 8:05 p.m.: Practice
  • 11:30 p.m.: Qualifying
• Friday, Nov. 22
  • 8:10 p.m.: Race 1
• Saturday, Nov. 23
  • 6:20 p.m.: Race 2

“Last year we made the dream of racing down Las Vegas Boulevard a reality, and we are thrilled that we can now offer fans twice the racing action for the price of a single ticket. Whether it be on or off-track, we are dedicated to providing fans with a truly unforgettable experience,” Bellot said.

The recently announced F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix Fan Experience will include the Ferrari Challenge garages on the Las Vegas Strip, across from Wynn Las Vegas and north of the Fashion Show mall.

Fans can get an up-close look at the 296 Challenge cars and a glimpse into the garages. The free daytime event on Nov. 22-23 will feature F1 and F1 ACADEMY team appearances, live entertainment and local food trucks.
