LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — A 42-year-old Golden Valley, Arizona, man faces an attempted murder charge after a shooting Thursday morning, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

Larry James Meyer was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman on charges of attempted second-degree murder, possession of a weapon by a prohibited person and failure to register as a sex offender. Meyer also had an active arrest warrant at the time.

The victim of the shooting, who was not identified by police, was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center, and then to a Las Vegas hospital where officials said he is stable. He had multiple gunshot wounds, according to MCSO officials.

Meyer was arrested after an investigation determined he fled the scene of the shooting, which was in the area of Naco Road and Shinarump Drive. MCSO officials said the victim of the shooting was taken to Arizona Department of Transportation employees, who notified the sheriff’s office.

Deputies and detectives located Meyer at a residence in the 1600 block of Eloy Road and began giving commands for him to come out of the residence. Meyer was taken into custody without incident a short time later.

    The investigation is ongoing.

It's all some ancient mystical right that ends in a grassfire or something I don't know, I just know I never shoot tweakers unless they are running at me coming in or have a gun unholstered on my property. If they are on private property just say this is private property and you are trespassing and ask to leave.
