Video shows altercation between Migos rapper Quavo, Las Vegas valet

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Video the 8 News Now Investigators obtained Friday shows the altercation between Migos frontman Quavo and a valet that led to a pending civil lawsuit.

Antonio Henry, a valet for the Encore Hotel & Casino, alleges in court documents that Quavo injured him both physically and emotionally during the 2018 incident.

The altercation appears to have begun as a standoff between several men until fists flew and uniformed casino personnel – including Henry – intervened.

Quavo, whose real name is Quavious Marshall, did not cause enough injury to Henry, who claims he was assaulted, battered and injured, and therefore that man should not be able to recover punitive damages and be able to “retire” as the result of “one slap,” Quavo’s defense attorney argued in Clark County District Court as opening statements got underway.

Henry, now employed by the Wynn, is seeking monetary damages from Quavo, but not from other defendants who may have had more liability in the scuffle, Quavo’s attorney told the Clark County jury.

That attorney, who showed the jury photos and videos of the dust-up in court during his opening statement, argued the images show Quavo with an open hand and not a closed fist. He further argued that Henry waited a day to go to the hospital and only had “minor injuries,” according to medical records and testimony he expected to be admitted at trial.

Henry’s counsel said his client sustained a concussion and a lower back injury.

Quavo fronted the group Migos, which is no longer touring, according to the official Migos website. Quavo has released music independently since.

Las Vegas Metro police issued Quavo a citation, however, the case did not appear in any court records as of Friday.

In June, Marshall joined Vice President Kamala Harris at a summit centered around gun violence prevention in Atlanta.
