LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Grant Marquis Fox Senior died after saving several people in a massive car pileup on Aug. 28 right outside his complex in North Las Vegas.

“They need to know who saved them. By getting them out of the car, he lost his life,” Porche Fitch shared with 8 News Now about her fiance,  42-year-old Fox Senior. “People were trapped inside of the car and then the vehicle started smoking so he put on his shoes, ran downstairs to assist, ripping the seatbelts apart trying to get everybody out because the car was about to blow up,” Fitch shared.

Fitch said that after Fox Senior got everyone help he started wheezing and telling her he couldn’t breathe causing medics to immediately intervene.

“He went with the ambulance to Mountain View Hospital that night. I then get the call a couple of hours later that he didn’t make it,” she explains.

Fitch’s father, Robert Fitch said the area, near Cheyenne and Rancho, is a constant speedway, with numerous accidents taking place in recent months. A chronic nuisance for those who live nearby.

“My son-in-law was tired of the constant collisions. My daughter told me he wasn’t even going to go outside, but I guess something told him that he was needed so he jumped up, ran downstairs, and did what he had to do,” Robert said.

Robert said he would like to see more patrolling in the area, particularly after this last incident before more people get killed.

“They don’t ever try to bring the traffic police here to try to slow these people down. I would like to see the police sitting right here where they need to be, giving out tickets,” he added.

Porche Fitch says she still doesn’t know her fiancé’s cause of death and is awaiting answers from the coroner’s office.
