Tourist wins $1.6M in poker game at Las Vegas Strip casino

LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — A tourist hit a stroke of luck last week when he won more than $1.6 million dollars playing poker at a Las Vegas Strip casino.

According to a release, Scott A., visiting from Omaha, Nebraska, was playing Pai Gow Poker at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for an hour and a half when he struck gold.

Scott hit a seven card straight flush, winning a total of $1,620,470. According to the release, Scott said his first thought was to call his wife.

He was visiting the casino that night for a football game and said he plans to invest his winnings.
