LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The Clark County District Attorney’s office told 8 News Now it’s giving Clark County School Board Trustee Katie Williams more time to respond to its letter that ruled she doesn’t live in Nevada nor her district.

Last week, District Attorney Steve Wolfson told the CCSD trustee she has until Monday to either vacate her seat or he’ll initiate proceedings to remove her from office.

An investigation from the DA revealed Williams no longer lives in the state or her district. The district attorney’s office didn’t provide the new date it gave Williams to respond by.

Back in March, 8 News Now first reported that Williams failed to attend more than a dozen meetings in person.
