LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff will travel to Nevada this week to talk at a campaign event in Henderson.

According to a release from the White House, Emhoff, who is married to Vice President Kamala Harris, will travel to Henderson for the “New Way Forward Tour” on Thursday, Sept. 12.

Emhoff’s visit to Nevada will follow the first presidential debate between Vice President Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, and Former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee.

While in Henderson, Emhoff plans to “deliver remarks at a campaign event” which will be open to pre-credentialed media.

The event is part of the “New Way Forward Tour,” which aims to “mobilize support, drive enthusiasm, and reach the voters who will decide this election as we approach the closing weeks of the campaign,” according to the Harris Campaign.

Following that campaign event, the Second Gentleman will travel to Arizona for another event. The next day he is scheduled to travel to Florida.

Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was in Las Vegas on Tuesday as part of a “Sun Belt State Tour.”

Harris was last in the Las Vegas Valley in August, when she made a campaign stop at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
