LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — Off this summer’s record-setting Mountain Fest, Lee Canyon announced Tuesday it will put on the first-ever Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fall Fest is a free event for all ages.

The event will feature three bands — Jimmy Power V and The Hang Dynasty, Carlos Guerrero and Friends, and The Flicks — and a beer-tasting tent featuring local breweries Able Baker, Tenaya Creek and other regional brewers.

“It’s clear that locals enjoy the experience of live music in the Spring Mountains. This summer, Lee Canyon had record-setting attendance at Mountain Fest,” Dan Hooper, Lee Canyon’s general manager, said in a news release. “Our goal is to make the outdoors more accessible to residents by offering diverse experiences like Fall Fest.”

With temperatures in the valley still hanging around triple digits into next week, the Spring Mountains offer a cool getaway — about 30 degrees cooler. Photos released by Lee Canyon show aspen trees turning the mountain gold.

Scenic chair ride tickets can be purchased online and in advance. Mountain biking and disc golf are available.

For guests 21 and over, the Fall Fest beer-tasting tent requires a pass that can be purchased online starting at $25. Bands will start playing at noon and visitors are encouraged to bring blankets or low-profile portable chairs. The schedule:
