LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church’s Greek Food Festival is one of the largest food festivals in Nevada with 20,000 people expected for this year’s celebration.

Thousands of lamb chops, desserts, and gyros along with live music and culture will be on full display at this year’s festival, which is celebrating its 51st year. The 10 acre-festival will also include tours of the church and raffles.

“The community is really taking care of us, and we really want to thank everyone for the 51 years, and we want to welcome everybody,” Festival Chairman Angelo Stamis explained.

Doors open at 3 p.m. on Friday and the event runs through Sunday, with all proceeds going to the festival and maintaining the church on the grounds.

Tickets are $10 at the door and if you show your rideshare receipt, you’ll receive two dollars back on the festival.

Free entry for kids 12 and under and active military and their immediate family.

The festival is located at the St. John Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 El Camino Road near Hacienda Avenue and Jones Boulevard in Las Vegas.
