Man dead, suspect detained after southeast Las Vegas valley shooting

LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — A man is dead and another detained after a southeast valley shooting Thursday morning.

On Oct. 10 at around 10 a.m., Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the 200 block of West Warm Springs Road after reports of a shooting.

According to the HPD, arriving officers found a man dead at the scene. A man, who police called the suspected shooter, was detained and police said there was no outstanding threat to the community.

Police ask that the public avoid the area of Warm Springs Road as it is closed from Boulder Highway to Eastgate Road for an “extended period of time.”

No other details were released at the time of publication.
