    Las Vegas police release video of September deadly shooting suspect

    LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are asking the public’s help to identify the suspect in a September shooting that left a man dead and a woman injured .

    On Tuesday, Sept. 3 at around 1:40 a.m., officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a business in the 500 block of East Sahara Avenue near Las Vegas Boulevard after reports of a shooting.

    Arriving officers found a man and a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in a vehicle nearby.

    Medical personnel pronounced the man, later identified as Richard Bason, 26, dead at the scene and took the woman to a nearby hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

    Police said the victims were sitting in a vehicle when a person approached the passenger side window and fired several rounds into the vehicle.

    Through the investigation, homicide detectives found surveillance video that shows the suspect before and after the shooting.

    In an attempt to identify the suspect, police released the video to the public.
