LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nevada SPCA, the only no-kill shelter in Las Vegas, is hosting its fourth Annual Neon Dog Walk: Day Glo.

“We see so many animals here and it’s important to just invest back into our community, and that’s what we do here at Nevada SPCA,” communications manager Amy Lee said.

Nevada SPCA primarily serves as an owner-surrender shelter, taking in animals—particularly dogs—from families who can no longer care for them.

“We are seeing a large influx of people who are just not able to care for their dogs whether it’s a housing situation, whether it’s financial, or whether they’re moving,” Lee said. “A lot of the larger dogs are the ones that we’re seeing come in the most and those are a little bit harder to adopt out.”

Proceeds from the Neon Dog Walk: Day Glo will benefit Nevada SPCA programs, including adoptions, foster care, and volunteer initiatives. The funds will also support community programs such as a pet food pantry, microchip and vaccination clinics, and medical assistance programs aimed at helping pet owners keep their beloved companions.

The fundraiser and walk will take place during the day on Saturday, Oct. 19th at Silverado Ranch Park from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The event will feature live music, a craft beer garden, local food trucks, and more. For more information, visit Nevada SPCA’s 4th Annual Neon Dog Walk .
