JW Marriott Las Vegas set to celebrate 25 years with grand event

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — JW Marriott Las Vegas is set to celebrate 25 years with a three-day party for locals and tourists alike.

The resort will host an anniversary celebration this weekend, including fireworks, food trucks, cake, a DJ, and giveaways.

JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Spa has long been a destination for weddings, receptions, and family fun. Over the decades, it has established itself as a staple in the community and has even been recognized by Vegas Magazine as one of “The 18 Best Hotels in Las Vegas.”

The resort originally opened in 1999 as The Resort at Summerlin and was then renamed The Regent Las Vegas before becoming the JW Marriott in the 2000s.

“This property is so proud to be part of the Las Vegas community…we’re loving it,” Michelle McHugh the vice president and general manager said.

The celebration will culminate on Sunday, Oct. 20, with events from 3 to 8 p.m., highlighting the resort’s silver anniversary with a “25th Anniversary Fireworks Festival.” The fireworks show will start at 7 p.m., and a live DJ, food trucks, and more will accompany it.

McHugh explains after the celebration, there are many exciting debuts planned for the property.

“We recently completed a renovation that has taken us to the next level. We have a lot of great things planned and will be debuting over the next couple of months,” McHugh said.

Overflow parking for the Fireworks Festival will be provided at Tivoli Village. Complimentary shuttles will operate every 15 minutes between Tivoli Village and the resort from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 20. One can follow the signs at Tivoli Village for pickup and drop-off locations.

In addition to the celebration weekend, the resort will continue to celebrate its anniversary all month long with special anniversary menus, spa packages, and gaming promotions.
