LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) —  A man shot his wife and then himself inside a home in the south Las Vegas valley, according to police.

On Friday, around 5:30 p.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers responded to reports of a shooting at a home on the 8700 block of Rancho Destino Road, near East Pebble Road and South Las Vegas Boulevard.

Upon arrival and entry into the home, officers discovered a man and a woman who had both been shot, police said. After an investigation, LVMPD homicide detectives determined that the man had shot his wife before taking his own life.

Police said medical personnel arrived to provide treatment, but both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identities of the individuals, along with the cause and manner of death.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section at (702)828-3521. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702)385-5555.

Most likely it was about money. Money is the root of all evil. If not money one of them were terminally ill. Sad all around. Money is just transactional people, please don't end life because of some societal developed bullchit that means naught in God's Kingdom. May they both rest in peace
