Tiger News: Hitmen Hoops reports 3 assistant hires will be Davis, Smith & Johnson

Hitmen Hoops is reporting that the Memphis Tigers will hire Nolan Smith and others to maneuver Penny Hardaway's staff.

Last week Hitmen appeared on 92.9 FM ESPN's Jason & John Show to discuss a week of turmoil and staff dismissals by Penny Hardaway's program. AUDIO:

Questions immediately emerged about the relationship between Penny and his new Athletic Director, Dr. Ed Scott. Scott, appearing on 92.9 FM ESPN's Geoff Calkins Show Friday did a nice job of answering those questions and giving his nod to Penny.
