The Georgia Bulldogs pounded the Clemson Tigers on Saturday afternoon. The performance perfectly encapsulated the direction in which both programs are headed.

The Dawgs, having won two national titles in the last three years, are the top team in America. The Tigers, and their fierce denial of the new era of the sport, are left looking for answers.

The Georgia roster is loaded with key contributors, but newcomers were what highlighted the 34-3 Georgia win, as Mike Griffith of DawgNation explained on The Steakhouse.

"KJ Bolden was nothing less than remarkable," Griffith said about the freshman safety. "I mean, here's a guy that comes in as a true freshman -- and there were questions about his size because this is a man's game. You know that Clemson running back [Phil Mafah] is a senior. That's a grown man that [Bolden] took out in the open field on his first play with just an exceptional form tackle. KJ Bolden showed up to play."

"No surprise on the talent," Griffith commented on Nate Frazier. "It was his first time and he really handled the moment, didn't mess up, didn't fumble. Those are two true freshmen."

Also stepping in and delivering statements in their first games as Bulldogs were transfer additions wide receivers London Humphries and Colbie Young, who both caught touchdown passes in this game.

"Really it was the best case scenario for a lot of these [newcomers]," Griffith said.
