The Atlanta Falcons stumbled out of the gate with their 18-10 season-opening loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. After a full offseason of hyping up a new-look offense, Steak Shapiro is concerned about what this team will actually be this season.

"It was your worst nightmare," Steak said about the game. "Just give us hope, and they gave it to us [this offseason]. Kirk Cousins, Raheem Morris, adding Matthew Judon and Justin Simmons. It's one week of 18 weeks, but man."

The defense finished the afternoon without allowing a touchdown and largely controlled this game. Scoring came for the Steelers on the leg of Chris Boswell and his six field goals -- three of which came from 50 or more yards. In your typical game, the Falcons would be on the winning side of this type of game.

Unfortunately for Atlanta, Pittsburgh could say the same thing about its success against the Falcons offense.

Cousins and this new-look Falcons offense finished the afternoon with a pedestrian 226 yards of total offense, but only 51 in the second half of action. TJ Watt and the Steelers front crushed the Falcons front and limited it to a mere three drives of seven or more plays.

Drew Butler sought to calm Steak down a little bit after his comments.

"Allow me to impart a little bit of wisdom to Falcons fans everywhere, and take a deep breath and listen," he said in response to Steak. "Things are never as good as you think they are, and things are never as bad as you think they are. It's week one, it's a long season."
