What did Georgia learn from SEC Title Game loss to Jalen Milroe?

The Alabama Crimson Tide may not have the same coach that led Bama to a 27-24 win over the Georgia Bulldogs last year in the SEC Championship Game, but they have the same quarterback at that may still have been a bigger concern for Georgia than if Nick Saban were still on the sidelines.

That night Jalen Milroe threw for 192 yards and 2 TD's, ran for 29 yards, and despite being sacked 4 times, the Georgia defense simply wasn't able to affect the Alabama offense enough to win. The lesson wasn't just learned in that game, but also the next game for Alabama in which Michigan had a much higher success rate affecting the Tide's offense.

In that semifinal loss to Michigan, the Wolverines brought Jalen Milroe down six times, held him to just 116 yards passing, and didn't allow a TD pass. Michigan also clearly attacked Jalen Milroe defensively in ways that Georgia did not.

The lesson that Georgia needs to have learned is how to attack Jalen Milroe defensively without leaving too many openings for him. It's a delicate balance that Michigan figured out that maybe could be a nice framework of a lesson learned for UGA.
