Former ‘RHONY’ Star Eboni K. Williams Shares The Birth Of Her Daughter Liberty

“Real Housewives of New York” alum Eboni K. Williams has given birth to her precious baby daughter, Liberty. According to People , the 40-year-old underwent four years of egg retrieval before she became pregnant with her “miracle” baby. The new mom took to her Instagram account to announce Liberty’s debut and share the meaning behind her unique name.

Williams is known for basking in her truth, power, and success; now, she has another significant accomplishment to stand tall for. The lawyer gave birth to her first baby in August 2024, which she conceived through IVF treatments. She recently divulged to People that she had no desire to wait to meet a man and marry before having her gorgeous little girl. “F–k that. I’m not waiting. I’m 40 years old. I’m not waiting to build assets. I’m not waiting to build my career. I’m not waiting to travel. And I’m certainly not waiting to start a family,” the mother told the media outlet.

Williams revealed her daughter on her social media page with a lengthy story about the meaning of her name. “As her ancestor, Toni Morrison tasked her…⁣ Since she has been born free, her birth assignment is to now free somebody else. Why the name Liberty?” She explained that her daughter’s name represents the Statue of Liberty, which “originated as a tribute to the newly freed Black American.”⁣

More women are opting for the IVF route these days instead of waiting to meet a suitable mate before conceiving, which sometimes results in them missing their window to have a child. Williams has been married before, but that relationship didn’t work out. Therefore, instead of waiting for the next partner to come along (if he came along), the Equal Justice with Judge Eboni K. Williams star decided to take control of her destiny. “I really freed myself of the rigidness of what legacy, love, and family could look like,” she told People . “Those are the three pillars I reassessed, and it helped shake me from this idea of, ‘I have to have it this way on this timeline everyone else is following.’”
