Texas Megachurch Removes Pastor Over “Moral Failure”
A megachurch in Frisco is in the news after its associate pastor for 17 years resigned this week. Tony Cammarota of Stonebriar Community Church confessed to church leadership on July 7th of a "moral failure". The church emailed the congregation this week about the resignation but did not go into details about the so called "moral failure". According to the Dallas Morning News, Cammarota worked at Stonebriar Community Church for 17 years as associate pastor where more than 3,000 people attend weekly services.

Wait, You Can Get Hypothermia in El Paso? In July??
As a record summer heat wave envelopes much of the United States, we have a story today about migrants treated for hypothermia after being rescued from the Rio Grande. 54 individuals were rescued from the Rio Grande on Tuesday evening by the El Paso and Sunland Park fire departments. Of that number, six of the migrants had to be treated for hypothermia. Hypothermia is defined as having a “core body temperature of 95 degrees Fahrenheit”.
