According to reports, the Steelers have found their new punter after Cam Johnston was put on the shelf for the season after a knee injury on Sunday in Atlanta.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, and others, are reporting that Corliss Waitman is joining the Steelers for a third time.

The native of Belgium was signed by the Steelers in April 2020 before being waived in early May 2021.

He then spent time some with the Raiders and Patriots before re-signing with the Steelers in December 2021 after Pressley Harvin III went on bereavement leave.

Waitman appeared in two games for the Steelers in 2021 and averaged 52.1 yard a punt with only seven punts while with Pittsburgh. He spent the 2022 season with the Denver Broncos.

Over 19 career games, Waitman averages 46.9 yards a punt.

Waitman will also need to be the holder for kicker Chris Boswell.

He most recently was with the Chicago Bears before being released late last month.
