Just one glance a<a href="https://www.fireweatheravalanche.org/fire/state/colorado">t the wildfire map of Colorado</a> will reveal an unsettling number of blazes currently being fought with the most prominent being the Stone Mountain Fire, the Alexander Mountain Fire, and the Parkway Fire.</p><p><a href="https://95rockfm.com/colorado-fire-started-bird/?utm_source=tsmclip&amp;utm_medium=referral">Recent Colorado Wildfire + the Bizarre Way it Was Started</a> |</p><p>Brave firefighters have been working tirelessly to combat the blazes all across the state and have recently received some extra help from some adorable volunteers.</p><h2>Three Dogs Enlisted to Aid in Fighting Colorado Wildfires</h2><p>Much like the way that K-9 Units help police solve crimes, three dogs have been enlisted to aid in fighting the wildfires currently scorching the state of Colorado.</p><p><a href="https://kdvr.com/news/local/meet-the-3-new-dogs-hired-to-investigate-colorado-fires/">The K-9 team</a> consists of a seven-year-old yellow labrador named ROTC, a three-year-old bloodhound named Hiccup, and a three-year-old German Shepherd named Moose.</p><p>The dogs' handler, a man named <a href="https://kdvr.com/news/local/meet-the-3-new-dogs-hired-to-investigate-colorado-fires/">Brian Eberle</a>, has not only been serving as a fire serviceman for 21 years but has also been training K-9 Units for police work for roughly 17 of those years.</p><p>The dogs possess skills in things like the detection of flammable liquids, the detection and tracking of missing persons, and the detection of decomposing human bodies.</p><p>In addition to their current duties assisting fire crews across Colorado, the dogs also have things like assisting the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, NecroSearch International, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Colorado Bureau of Investigations <a href="https://kdvr.com/news/local/meet-the-3-new-dogs-hired-to-investigate-colorado-fires/">on their collective resumes.</a></p><p>These adorable and highly intelligent dogs truly confirm the title of <a href="https://95rockfm.com/tags/colorado-pets">"man's best friend."</a></p><p>[KDVR]</p><h2>History of Fatalities + Fire at Now-Abandoned Colorado Ski Resort</h2><p><b>WARNING: Under no circumstances should you enter this property.
